End of an era – ASC Minx mixer enters last production run

Canford has announced the last batch of that stalwart of radio or TV outside broadcast, the ASC Minx Mixer. The Minx has been a mainstay of OBs going back more than 25 years. Its unique and comprehensive range of features on such a compact, portable unit, have made it a firm favourite with production crew heading out into the field. The last batch being produced is the AP version and will be available to purchase from Canford in the first week in July. read more »

A plain brown envelope which arrived at the home of Canford’s Chairman recently nearly joined the pile of junk mail which had preceded it but a moment’s pause led to the quick realisation that this was far from the assumed offer to try a new hearing aid or contribute to another obscure cause. Inside was notification that our esteemed Chair was to be honoured with the award of an OBE for services to North East Business in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List. read more »
